What: Publicolor Paint Party ’06 When: Saturday, November 18 Details: PAINTING PARTY @ P.S. 101, The Andrew Draper School, at 141 East 111th St. (btw. Park + Lex) from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. COLORFUL COCKTAILS @ Clerestory Hall at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia in the Starrett-Lehigh Building, 601 W. 26th St. @ 12th Ave., with music + colorful raffle from 7 – 10 p.m. Price: Tickets are $100 in advance and $125 at the door (includes both painting and cocktails), of which all but $30 is a tax-deductible gift to Publicolor. Children under 16 are free. Sponsorships range from $1,500 (for a team of up to 6 people) to $10,000 (for a team of up to 25 people) We created THE TOP COAT, our committee of young professionals, in 2005. After a successful Top Coat Paint Party last November, and a great party in April, we’re ready to paint again! We anticipate an audience of approximately 250 young professionals (21 to 40 something!) representing such fields as fashion and finance, as well as entertainment, public relations, and real estate. This second annual event will give guests an opportunity to take a paintbrush in hand and directly impact the physical and psychological environment of neglected schools, experiencing for themselves the power of a Publicolor transformation. Guests will paint alongside our students in a public school in East Harlem and will be welcome to join us for celebratory cocktails later that evening. Children are welcome to attend; there will be supervised arts activities for children ages 5-13.
