Publicolor has a Board of Directors and a Board of Advisors. Both are filled with talented and diverse individuals who share Ruth Lande Shuman's concern about the growing rate of school drop-outs, and who believe that Publicolor is a creative solution to this urgent problem. Publicolor's trustees are active participants with Publicolor, sharing their expertise, resources and time.

I am pleased and honored to hear of my fellow New Yorker's great accomplishments and distinguished service. Your dedication to helping students and community members revitalize their neighborhoods has benefitted countless New York residents.

On behalf of the staff, students, and parents I would like to thank you for bringing Publicolor to Middle School 57. We, because of you, are enjoying a beautifully painted school building with vibrant colors that make our halls inviting and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Seventy-one students, three parents, and roughly eleven faculty members, along with your staff, participated in the Paint Club project. Under your direction, the participants learned how to tape, prime, and paint the walls. They were also taught mathematical concepts such as measurement, and they learned the value of working collectively.
