Publicolored Sites
Our model of revitalization starts with struggling underserved inner-city schools, but that’s not where it stops. Once we finish a school, we extend our reach into the community, to local police precincts and neglected neighborhood facilities. At all sites we enlist volunteers, from parents to police to community site staff and beyond, so that all develop a new sense of belonging and pride in their community.
Since Publicolor’s inception, 377 under-resourced schools and 265 nearby community sites have been transformed with vibrant colors and beautiful designs. Our Community Museum projects, which bring visual beauty to underserved neighborhoods, have impacted approximately 2,870,000 New Yorker

If you’d like to know more about a school or site transformation, please contact our Chief Schools + Community Relations Officer, Irma Nepomuceno Irma@publicolor.org. She’ll be happy to discuss this exciting work with you.
