Publicolored Sites

Our model of revitalization starts with struggling underserved inner-city schools, but that’s not where it stops. Once we finish a school, we extend our reach into the community (health clinics, food pantries, shelters, community + senior centers, police precincts). At all sites we enlist volunteers, from parents to police to community site staff and beyond, so that all develop a new sense of belonging and pride in their community.

Since 1996, we’ve transformed 336 under-resourced public schools and 258 neglected community sites. These transformations have impacted over 2.2 million people.

If you’d like to know more about a school or site transformation, please contact our director of community outreach, Irma Nepomuceno Irma@publicolor.org. She’ll be happy to discuss this exciting work with you.
