Publicolored Sites
Our model of revitalization starts with struggling underserved inner-city schools, but that’s not where it stops. Once we finish a school, we extend our reach into the community, to local police precincts and neglected neighborhood facilities. At all sites we enlist volunteers, from parents to police to community site staff and beyond, so that all develop a new sense of belonging and pride in their community.
Since 1996, we’ve transformed 289 under-resourced public schools, impacting over 1.1 million students, parents + teachers, and 246 community facilities bringing dignity and respect over 4 million residents of low-income neighborhoods.
