The Founder’s Program - Planned Giving
I love the mission of Publicolor and its tangible impact on the lives of young people in New York City, where I grew up and have lived until recently. As a Publicolor employee, I was fortunate to bear witness to the efficacy of the programs taking the student from struggling to college graduate to career. I love Publicolor’s holistic approach to individual students, giving them the academic, personal, and financial support they need to be successful. 85% of students suffer from food insecurity, and Publicolor assembles food weekly for students to take home. As a fundraising executive, it was tremendously rewarding to communicate my passion for the critical, unique work of Publicolor. I have the utmost confidence in the leadership team and professional staff.
These are the reasons I included Publicolor in my estate planning. It was extremely important for me to do my part in ensuring the continuity of the important work of Publicolor. I urge the extended family of Publicolor to join me in making a provision in your will for our Publicolor students.
Margaret Sullivan, former Publicolor employee of six years.
Generosity is often expressed by supporting the most important causes in your life. It is your belief in us that inspires the work we do. You have made a lasting impact and helped ensure that Publicolor students have the necessary resources to stay in school and experience transformative opportunities that enable them to succeed and excel in life.
We rely on the generosity of our donors to support our work and bring our services to those communities most in need. However, sometimes, these gifts do not reflect all that a donor might want to do to help, and that’s why we are reaching out to you. We started Publicolor’s Founder’s Program to ensure that we continue to thrive –– providing critical services to address the under-education and other challenges often created by generational poverty.
We are an innovative educational youth development organization that empowers students facing immense life challenges for academic and career success through a multi-year project-based continuum of programs. The Founder’s Program enables you to give forward-looking support to future generations of NYC’s most vulnerable students. When you include a gift to Publicolor in your estate, your commitment keeps our vision strong and our future bright. You will ensure that our unique project-based programs flourish for generations to come.
I, for one, have made a bequest to Publicolor in my will. If you have already included Publicolor in a bequest or other planned gift, we thank you so much and ask that you let us know. Your willingness to be listed as a member of Publicolor’s Founder’s Program encourages others to follow your example. We urge you to inform us of your plans, as this will allow our organization to plan for future programs. However, we acknowledge and respect those who wish to remain anonymous.
With much gratitude,
